The Girl Scouts in Madagascar will do a “rodorodo ho an’ny Fampandrosoana” or a walk for Development on 25 to 29 June in the region of Vatovavy Fitovinany. In collaboration with the United Nations and some Ministries, the Girl Scouts of Madagascar or Mpanazava Eto Madagasikara will realize a big Human Rights Campaign in Ifanadiana on 26 June, in parallel with the National Fiest of the Independence Day celebration.
As its name indicates, Rodorodo or Walk for Development means a walk about 40 km in the villages around the region and make some information/sensitization session mainly on the theme of Human Rights given the fact that this year we celebrate the 60th anniversary of its declaration. We’ll also increase the awareness of the people living in the region about the Fight against HIV/AIDS, the importance of protecting the environmnt especially in that region, the water and sanitation, the Millenium Development Goals an the Madagascar Action Plan, the Nutrition and Foods, the Children and Mother Health and so on.
At the end of the rodorodo, even if we, girlscouts may all feel very tired, hungry and exhausted, we can be sure of one thing: we’ve realized a good action to the country, we’ve served Madagascar and it’s one of our target. One never has to regret to freely do a good action because soon or late it will be rewarded.
Allez les filles! Allez les filles! Et merci pour la tres bonne initiative
